For this assignment I focused on the positive side of technology and its influence on us, more specifically how different apps, wearable technologies, and online communities help to motivate adults to live a heather lifestyle. So I decided to remix a picture of a man sitting on a couch in a very relaxed manner and I created a hand that is made of all different apps, wearable technologies, and online communities or websites looking like it is pushing this guy off the couch. I decided to make the hand out of all these different icons to show how many different technologies that are out there that can really help us, and are there to motivate us weather its through reminding you to get exercise, different healthy meal ideas, or even guided meditation. I think this gives a different perspective on technology because it shines a brighter light on it, but also saying it is the users choice what they decide to do with it and weather we decide to be stumped by technology or inspired. I decided to make it so it leaves the viewer to wonder if the man actually gets up and is motivated to maybe go on a walk or maybe he doesn’t, to further emphasize our ability to choose what we want.
